We are a supportive independent living community that includes assisted living and, in a separate
building, premier memory care. However, all apartments
are built to Florida code requirements for assisted living.
Our vision is different. We believe in making life more interesting, more satisfying. Even one
visit to our site will make that obvious.
No. We are a rental community. We use resident agreements instead of leases because we know
individual needs may change.
We offer four options. Supportive independent living, assisted living, and premier memory care. We
are not a nursing home.
Residents have their own apartment and one monthly charge includes utilities, many social
activities, utilities, weekly light housekeeping,
and a country club dining program’. Some residents will keep their car, while others will take
advantage of transportation services
provided by Anthem Lakes. Also, there is 24 hour awake staffing, senior friendly architectural
design, and emergency response systems
for resident peace of mind.
Apart from medication management, being in assisted living allows staff to assist in other ways. The principal ones are assistance
in dressing, assistance in bathing, assistance in eating, assistance in ambulation, and assistance in toileting, as and when those
services may be needed. Resident needs are evaluated with the vision being that of enhancing resident dignity and self-worth.
Residents with dementias (including Alzheimers) benefit from assisted living services but ideally
the physical design of both the building
and apartments are different, and the activity programs are different. Staffing ratios are higher
as well. Our premier memory care is in
a separate building overlooking a beautiful wooded wetland with mature trees.
First, the site itself is beautiful, like a park, with ponds and a lake and even a fishing dock.
One visit will make this dramatically
obvious. The second is physical design. Having memory care in a separate building is a big
difference, better for all residents.
Also, by having four care levels it is possible to be responsive to changing needs as residents
age.
No. Of course we welcome veterans, but the words at our entry plaza say: “Honoring all who have
served”. Veterans, first responders,
school teachers, grandmothers and grandfathers, and others as well.
