Short-term Financing
If you are concerned about paying for senior living while awaiting funds from a home sale, Veterans aid or insurance, short-term financing may be a solution. Anthem Lakes has a relationship with ElderLife Financial Services that may be an option for you.
Elderlife Financial Services helps families pay for senior living or home care by collaborating with you to provide short-term financing with the Elderlife Line of Credit in as little as 24 hours. Elderlife is able to assist with senior living, home care, downsizing, and continuing care retirement community (CCRC). Elderlife can help you pay for the costs of care, help you list and sell your home and help connect you to Veteran Service Organizations. They are also there to help you explore selling or converting your life insurance policy into a benefit for paying for a loved one’s long-term care.
Veterans Assistance Program
Qualified Veterans (and their spouses) are welcome to use their benefits at Anthem Lakes. Visit www.va.gov for more details on the program.
VA provides compensation benefits to Veterans in recognition of the effects of disabilities, diseases, or injuries incurred or aggravated during active military service. The program also provides monthly payments to surviving spouses, dependent children, and dependent parents in recognition of the economic loss caused by a Veteran’s death during military service or, after discharge from military service, as a result of a service-connected disability.
Long-term Care Insurance/Qualified Life Insurance or Annuity With a Long-term Care Benefit
If you have a Long-term Care or Life Insurance/Annuity policy with a long-term care benefit, it may cover the costs of long-term care offered at Anthem Lakes. Long-term care insurance covers care for activities of daily living that is typically not included in standard health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, bathing, eating, toileting, continence, transferring, and ambulating might be offered in a number of settings, among them home care, assisted living, adult daycare, respite care, hospice care, nursing homes, and memory care facilities.
Contact your insurance agent for an explanation of the benefits offered by your policy.
