Anthem Lakes Appoints Senior Living Professional as its Community Operations Specialist
Anthem Lakes, North Florida’s newest independent assisted living and memory care community, announces it has appointed senior care expert Joy L. Roberts to serve as its community operations specialist. Roberts has joined the community effective immediately and will be responsible for operations and staffing through the community’s planned opening in early 2017 when she will then manage Anthem Lakes’ staff, programming, services and care.
Anthem Lakes is a 119-unit independent and senior living facility currently under construction in Atlantic Beach at 905 Assisi Lane. The community offers four levels of senior lifestyles on a 14- acre campus designed to help residents connect with nature, family and their pets. The facility is the first of its kind from the development partners focused on designing a national model for senior living.

With more than 20 years of senior living and additional healthcare experience, Joy leads the dedicated and experienced staff of nurses, caregivers and specialists at Anthem Lakes while managing and directing all programs and operations. Roberts is a nurse and worked in many aspects of healthcare before becoming a manager and leader.
Prior to joining Anthem Lakes, Joy worked at various facilities in Jacksonville and Orange Park. Most recently she served as executive director at The Arbor Company, an assisted living and memory care community in Ortega. At Arbor Terrace, she was responsible for the opening of the facility, all hiring and training and all community operations. Before her work at Arbor, she held positions with Brookdale Senior Living, Life Care Centers of America and Tandem Healthcare, all in North Florida. She also worked with Kindred Healthcare in Monroe, North Carolina, Family Care Management of Niles, Illinois and Amerra Healthcare in Houston, Texas.
At Anthem Lakes, Joy is responsible for championing care of all seniors living in all levels of its community. She is responsible for operations and management including financial management, hiring, supervision, training, team member relations, communication, family services, resident well-being, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Roberts is certified CORE by the State of Florida as well as extended congregate care. She holds a nursing diploma from the Fayette County Nursing Program and studied healthcare administration at the University of Pittsburgh.
